Question: Is there anything more supremely annoying than the sound of a cartoon you’re not watching, blaring out of the TV in a language you do not understand? Like, say, The Powerpuff Girls in Swedish??

Last week on holiday I got a sunburn on the top of my head, where my hair is parted. Which means that my scalp is now peeling and I have large dandruff-like flakes navigating the jungle that is my crown, on display for all to see. Great.

It’s overcast. Moderate winds. Haven’t been out to observe it firsthand, but I have no cause to doubt the weatherman, particularly as cloudy skies and general lack of movement in the trees outside would appear to confirm his assertions. Current temps are 11°C and EPI and I are about to embark on a brisk walk around the golf course, despite the presence of vicious Arctic tern that will stop at nothing to protect their lil’eggs from Big Threatening Monstrosities like EPI and meself. The sun came up this morning at 03.01 and will go down at 23.55.
